You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth operations, inspire customers, and keep the team energised – all while creating a fun, community-focused atmosphere with events like gravel rides and in-store gatherings.
What You’ll Do:
- Go Nice Places, Do Good Things: Provide world-class service by guiding customers to the perfect gear and ensuring they leave ready for their next adventure.
- Empower Our People: Train and inspire the team to deliver exceptional service, fostering a positive, inclusive store culture. Take responsibility as the Duty Manager when the Store Manager is away.
- Great Products, Great Service: Assist with stock management, store displays, deliveries, and ensure the store is always ready for customers.
- Give Back: Host and support local events, such as gravel rides and in-store gatherings, helping to create a strong sense of community around the store.
- Sustainability: Help customers understand the value of purchasing sustainable products that align with their outdoor lifestyle and share Alpkit's mission to minimise environmental impact.
What You’ll Bring:
- A passion for the outdoors and a solid understanding of outdoor activities and gear (hiking, biking, climbing, etc.).
- Previous retail experience, particularly in customer service and team leadership, would be an advantage.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, always looking for ways to contribute to store success and innovate in the retail space.
- A desire to grow and develop your leadership skills, taking on more responsibility within the management team.

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends. Flexible rotas to ensure a balanced work-life schedule for you and your team.
