  • Key Holder - Alpkit Ambleside

    Location: Alpkit Ambleside
    Position: Permanent, Full-time
    Hours: 40 hours per week


    What you’ll be doing
    We’re on the lookout for a Keyholder to join our fantastic Ambleside Store Team. As a key holder for the store, you will support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in driving sales and providing world class customer service. You will love being on the shop floor with our customers, whilst sharing your knowledge of the outdoors, advising on the best kit for the adventures they are going on and sharing the best of the local area.

    The role will involve being responsible for opening and closing the store when the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager are absent and assisting with deliveries.

    We have a relaxed retail environment, but we work hard. Tea (and coffee for the non-believers) is always to hand, decent music is almost always on, and we are driven by our mission to support our customers “go nice places do good things”..

    Job Purpose
    We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive to join the team here at Alpkit. If you are someone who is truly passionate about the customer journey and communications, this is the role for you.


    Position in Alpkit
    You will support the Head of Marketing in executing Alpkit’s marketing campaigns (print and digital) to bring in new customers to support the growth of Alpkit.


    Key Areas & Tasks
  • Implement and drive our long-term strategy through various channels/tools with the support of the wider team
  • Coordinate the implementation of campaigns in stores, including store assets/POS.
  • Manage Alpkit owned social media in line with brand values and objectives, taking ownership of our social media strategy.
  • Coordinate photoshoot production, supporting photographer with logistics, model booking and stock management.
  • Coordinate production of brand assets and printed material including Outpost, adverts, dispatch flyers, sustainability report and tactical material as the need arises.
  • Track press and media planning, ensuring that adverts are produced in good time.

  • What you'll bring
  • A marketer with experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Experience in dealing with running multiple campaign deadlines and ability to prioritise tasks accordingly
  • Experience driving customer acquisition and growth through the implementation of digital and traditional media strategies
  • Strong budget and project management skills, attention to detail and communication

    Job Purpose

    We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our award-winning team as a Customer Support Specialist. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our customer service operations, assisting customers with their inquiries, providing after-sales support, processing returns, and offering guidance on warranty care. As a Customer Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers have a seamless and positive experience with Alpkit.

    Key Areas & Tasks

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat is a fast and friendly manner.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice on our product range, usage, and maintenance. Our range spans from UK made backpacks, through to waterproof jacket, wetsuits, UK built bikes and more.
  • Assist customers with the return and exchange process, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
  • Handle warranty claims and provide necessary information on warranty coverage and care.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in our CRM system (Khaos Control)
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge to offer informed assistance to customers. We offer weekly training to keep you up to date!
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and share customer feedback with the team.
  • Identify sales opportunities and process bulk sales.
  • Strive to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and service level target

  • Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer support or similar outdoor role is a plus.
  • Passion for outdoor activities and an understanding of outdoor gear.
  • Understanding of bikes and componentry would be beneficial to your role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    The Role
    We're looking for a new Hero to join our Customer Service team. Here at Alpkit, we love customers, and we love a good chat, hearing about & helping to plan out adventures! You’ll work within our award-winning Customer Support team, with responsibility for guiding our customer orders through our systems within our delivery promise timelines. Working with our CRM software (Khaos and Shopify) to maintain customer databases, Re-assigning stock on orders where needed, across our 10 dispatch locations. You’ll be responsible for our pre-order data section, managing transaction security, reporting out of the CRM platform and working closely with our ecommerce team to ensure stock levels and web experience is consistent. Customer Service is at the core of the Alpkit & Sonder experience, and we work hard to continuously improve that experience.

  • Maintaining accuracy of stock, finance, and customer data in customer accounts
  • Working closely with E- commerce team to report any issues and improve customer experience.
  • Working closely with Warehouse team to maintain dispatch SLA for any orders that have been manually edited.
  • Weekly reporting on admin stage activity.
  • Working within Alpkit Sustainability principles.
  • Payment processing using our multiple payment options.
  • Problem solving to ensure stock accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • General Alpkit & Sonder Customer Service enquiries from warranty, technical and sales call/emails.

    Repair Hero - Alpkit Edinburgh

    Location: Alpkit Edinburgh
    Position: Permanent
    Hours: Part-time / Full-time


    What you’ll be doing
    Do you love outdoor kit so much; you want to repair it and keep it going for longer? We’re on the lookout for a Repair Hero to join our Edinburgh Alpkit Team. As a member of the store team, you will support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager by repairing customers kit in our designated repair stations. We take pride in providing world class customer service. We’re looking for your love of outdoor gear and repairing it. Ideally we’re looking for someone with sewing experience, or if you’re handy with a home sewing machine, get in touch!
