Discover some of the mysteries that lie beneath the Peak District. Wet and Wild Underground is an exciting full day subterranean trip which will involve walking, crawling and squeezing through one of the popular cave systems in Derbyshire. The exact cave system to be used will be chosen on the day according to weather conditions. If you have ever wondered what lays beneath your feet this is your chance to find out!
What to Expect:
This course will provide a great introduction to one of the easier technical cave systems in the Peak District. No previous caving experience is necessary and basic caving equipment will be provided, however you should be prepared to get wet and dirty!
This is a great course to be used as a stepping stone to some of the more advanced caving courses.
What to Bring:
Your instructor will provide you with a caving suit, helmet, torch and boots.
- Dress warmly, it gets chilly underground!
- Wear long sleeves and trousers
- Bring a jumper
- Any personal medication
- Leave valuables at home

No. You must have a valid Big Shakeout weekend ticket to participate in any School of Adventure Activities. Any orders for activities without a Big Shakeout weekend ticket will be cancelled and refunded.
You will receive an email confirmation with an order reference number upon completing your order. Your order number is your unique reference number, bring it along with you and present it at along with your name at the School of Adventure Meeting Point.
We will do everything we can to make sure your chosen activity goes ahead, however in some circumstances a course may have to be cancelled due to weather or lack of numbers. In these cases we will either offer you a place on an alternative activity or refund.
