*Our recommended usable limit of the bag. The majority of our customers will find this to be the tipping point between a comfortable and restless night's sleep.
**The Extreme rating is the temperature at which the average woman can remain for six hours without risk of DEATH from hypothermia - but can still sustain cold injuries - under EN13537 conditions. We do not recommend using this bag in these weather conditions, or making your purchasing decision based on this value. This rating is for the AlpineDream 800 Regular. AlpineDream 800 Long contains the same quantity of down as AlpineDream 800 Regular. As a result, AlpineDream 800 Long may be up to two degrees cooler than the AlpineDream 800 Regular.
AlpineDream 1000 uses DownTek™ PFC-free water repellent down and a PFC-free durable water repellent (DWR) on its outer fabric. PFCs are potentially harmful and have been found to build up in the environment.
AlpineDream 1000 uses 100% RDS certified down. All our down is audited by a third party to ensure that it comes from birds who are not live-plucked, force-fed, or mistreated.
Washing: 30°C gentle cycle
Drying: line dry or tumble dry on low heat until down is fully dry
Ironing: DO NOT iron
Use pure soap or a technical product wash to keep your sleeping bag's DWR treatment in top condition. When tumble drying use down drying balls or old tennis balls to keep the down clump-free. For more tips, read our Mountain Journal guide onhow to wash your sleeping bag.
Storage: store your sleeping bag uncompressed in a cool, dry place. This will extend its life and allow it to regain its loft quicker after unpacking.
Liners: using a sleeping bag liner protects your down from skin oils and other contaminants that reduce loft, allowing you to wash your bag less frequently.
