Wild camping with gas camping stove

Cooking and nutrition for adventure

By Kenny Stocker

Good food is the fuel that powers great adventures. Whether you're hillwalking in the Highlands, climbing in the Peaks, cycling across deserts, camping in the wilderness, trail running through forests, or paddling down rivers, having the right cooking equipment and nutritious food can make all the difference.

Our stomachs have led us to finding the most nutritious, tasty meal options that cater to all types of outdoor enthusiasts alongside developing a range of cooking gear that works from your first Duke of Edinburgh expedition to your 10th Alpine season.

Our journey in the world of outdoor cooking began with a hunger: How can we make preparing meals in the wilderness not just easier, but enjoyable? The answer, we found, lies in a combination of innovative design, sustainable practices, and a deep understanding of the nutritional needs of adventurers.

Let's start with our stoves. Our lightweight backpacking stoves are perfect for solo trekkers or ultralight enthusiasts. They're compact, efficient, and can boil water in minutes, allowing you to enjoy a hot meal or a warming cup of tea even in the most remote locations. For group adventures or base camping, we offer larger, more powerful stoves that can handle cooking for multiple people.

When it comes to cookware, we believe in versatility and durability. Our pots and pans are designed to be lightweight yet sturdy, able to withstand the rigours of outdoor use. We use materials that conduct heat efficiently, ensuring even cooking and reducing fuel consumption.

The majority of our range is made in titanium. As one of the most abundant elements on earth, it is lightweight, very very strong and super inert - this is a benefit environmentally as it'll last a lifetime, is recyclable, and its resistance to corrosion means it doesn't pollute air, land and oceans. It's also ideal for cookware as titanium is highly conductive for efficient and even heating - and there's no metallic taste.

We haven't forgotten about the little things that make outdoor cooking easier. Many of our cookware items are designed to nest together, saving precious pack space. Our utensil sets are designed to be functional and compact. From folding sporks to collapsible cups, we've thought about every detail to enhance your outdoor dining experience.

Great, functional cooking equipment is only part of this story. That's why we've also sourced a range of nutritious, tasty, and easy-to-prepare camping foods that provide a balanced mix of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, along with essential vitamins and minerals. Whether you're a meat-eater, vegetarian, or vegan; from hearty breakfasts to energising snacks to satisfying dinners, we have options to suit your dietary needs - for every meal of the day.
