Wanted - Web Store Manager
We are seeking a committed, passionate, commercially astute individual to run our web store. It is a massively exciting role and central to our small team. You will be the expert that keeps our website up-to-date by continually adding, reviewing and refreshing our product and content pages. You will monitor the sites performance and work with our other teams to give our customers the best online experience possible, irrespective of device.
Key Outcomes
Maximise sales opportunities by working closely with the merchandising team so that product flow is timely and reactive.
Monitor and improve site health by reviewing and improving vital stats such as web traffic, conversions, sales, best sellers, customer journeys, page rankings, site speed and site health to help us develop a coherent work plan.
Work with our Head of IT to implement tech to aid onsite conversion and hook together the underlying tech that provides a great customer experience (e.g. search, personalisation, up sells/cross sells).
Work with our marketing team to co-ordinate a coherent nursery email program, transactional email program, onsite content marketing and onsite video/photography.
Keep our website fresh through store look, product page details, product category structures, navigation and banners.
Contribute to the evolution of our website through planned replatforming and internationalisation.
Keep alpkit.com our quirky home on the world wide web.
Competencies
Able to work from physical products or specifications and get product online co-ordinating copywriting and photography to ensure the highest level of accuracy and presentation.
Awesome fact-checking, spelling, punctuation & grammar. Assist in the ongoing efforts to ensure all written content online is search-engine optimised whilst working to maintain our tone-of-voice and ensure products are accurately represented.
Work collaboratively with stores and customer service to make sure our web site best supports the needs of our customers and create a joined up customer experience.
Commercially aware, able to analyse sales and consumer data to identify and act on opportunities.
Self-motivated and able to squeeze maximum value out of content by maintaining relevancy and accuracy of current and historic content.
Work with our founders and product evangelists to make sure that our content captures the spirit and soul of Alpkit.
Understanding of the outdoor sports markets and trends, ability to research a new sector and identify sales opportunities.
Create and maintain process documentation to ensure consistency of work.
Excellent organisation and time management / ability.
Monitor team performance and collate weekly reporting from team leaders & source information.
Knowledge of consumer regulations.
Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, & Mac based apps.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Beneficial but not required
Experience using Khaos Control.
Fluency in additional languages, especially French, Italian, Spanish or German.

This is a full-time position based in our head office in Eastwood, NG16 3QU.
