Alpkit Foundation and Continuum supporting Nottingham Bikeworks as they look to move and continue to proactively support the local communities through the benefits of cycling.
With their current location up for sale Nottingham Bikeworks are having to move, looking to establish their cycling focused hub at Lady Bay. Although they are working hard to try and maintain their 'Bikery' workshop to keep a presence in Radford.
With this move they are looking to build a vibrant hub to reach those in south Nottingham and Rushcliffe area and they've had a wonderful response for support. You can find out what they are doing on the Crowdfunding page.
We've had the pleasure of supporting the work they do, both through the Alpkit Foundation and as a Continuum partner. So we're delighted to continue support as they now look to move.
You can read more how we've been supporting them over on page 49 of our Sonder Epic Rides 2022
By working with them it's really exciting to see how not-needed, or old cycling clothing and equipment can be put back to use in an incredibly positive and proactive way. It really helps support their belief that everyone should have access to cycling and be able to learn the skills to look after their own bikes. This means they will be able to continue to bring this valuable resource to the local communities. Engaging with people from a diverse range of backgrounds through educational courses, bike sales, repairs, workshops and events for cyclists of all abilities.
It's going to be exciting to follow how they get on once they get settled in!
We look to pass on old and unwanted outdoor equipment, by working with partners around the country and help get it out to those who really need it, giving it all a second life. Find out about Continuum
