A natural feel for open water adventures

Terrapin is our thinnest and most flexible wetsuit, designed for swimmers who want thermal protection without being pushed into an unnatural floating position. It’s all about freedom, balance and feeling connected to the water.

Now updated with an improved fit that’s easier to get on and off, it lets you spend less time battling neoprene and more time in the water.

    Why choose the Terrapin?

    • Low-buoyancy design - supports a natural swimming position without excess lift
    • Breaststroke-friendly - unrestricted movement for breaststroke and freestyle
    • Smoothskin outer - glides through the water with improved durability
    • Updated fit - easier entry and exit with a next-to-skin feel
    • Recycled Superstretch panels - durable face fabric with reduced impact

    Performance in the water

Terrapin is built for adventure swimming and open water exploration - from river dips to long summer crossings. The thinner neoprene gives you warmth without pushing you high in the water, allowing your body to stay flat and balanced.

That balance makes a real difference if you swim breaststroke as well as front crawl. Where many wetsuits are designed to lift your legs for freestyle, Terrapin keeps you level, letting you move naturally through each stroke.

We’ve used varying neoprene thickness from 2.0 to 3.0 mm to give warmth and buoyancy where it’s needed, while keeping things highly flexible around the shoulders, underarms and legs. The result is a suit that moves with you and responds to every reach, pull and kick.

The smoothskin outer helps you slip cleanly through the water while being hardy enough to resist knocks and nail damage. It’s a suit that feels simple and natural, but is quietly doing a lot of work.

    Swimmer tested. Swimmer trusted.

Swimmers tend to notice the same things with Terrapin - how comfortable it feels, how easy it is to move in, and how natural it keeps your stroke. The flexible feel makes it easy to settle into your stroke whether that's breaststroke, front crawl or mixing it up on longer outings. It’s a suit people reach for through the warmer months, when you want just enough insulation without losing that natural connection to the water.

    Lower impact by design

Terrapin uses recycled Superstretch neoprene side panels, lower legs, collar, cuffs and underarms with recycled nylon face fabric. We've designed it to be durable, repairable and backed it up with our 3 Year Alpine Bond. It’s built for seasons of swimming, not just one.

    Care Advice

    • When you are pulling on your suit take care not to use your finger nails.
    • Check your suit for fit and range of motion. Your suit will feel different when wet.
    • The neoprene collar and cuffs can be trimmed with scissors if they extend too far.
    • Rinse your suit out with fresh water after each use.
    • Hang the wetsuit inside out and allow to dry away from direct sunlight or heat source.
    • Store your suit in a cool room on a wide plastic coat hanger.
    • Roll your suit when transporting rather than fold.
    • Don’t use petroleum products with your suit as this will damage the neoprene.
    • Small tears can be repaired with neoprene cement/glue.
