The Route

You’ll choose from a variety of circular routes all bearing down to the same camp spot — gravel, forest, fire road and quiet paths. Go solo or with others. Ride, run, walk, paddle in as you prefer (routes ready mapped and available). Pause when you like. It's not about pace.

The Camp

We arrive at a welcoming camp spot. Not a public campsite but a spot we love and want to share with you. Essential facilities only, no electric. Set up camp. Settle in.

The Evening

Black Isle bar opens. Campfires lit, hot food is shared. Bands tune up and play. A relaxed, low key, good vibes only night. Weird, normal, quiet, loud, knackered - everyone is welcome.

The Morning

You wake with mist in your breath and gravel in your legs. Coffee’s brewing. Camp comes down, we leave no trace. Then we set off together and complete the circle. Meet on the trail. Leave as friends.

WHY SPLIT EARTH?

Because Split Earth is what we affectionately call our Sonder logo. The world spins on an angle — and a shift in the tilted axis happens to shape a neat letter ‘S’.

So when a few Sonder riders suggested an overnight ride out, Split Earth Campout felt like the natural name.

Now — give us one too many hours staring into a campfire, and one of us might say:

The world spins. The plates shift. Fault lines crack open. And in those cracks, something new begins. In a world that can feel fractured, we find Sonder* knowing it's our differences that makes us stronger.

But really, it’s about this: time outdoors together is good.

Meet on the trail. Leave as friends.

* Sonder: the feeling you get when you realise that every one you meet has a life as full and as real as your own. Each of us is at once a hero, a supporting cast member, and an extra in overlapping stories.
