Men’s Walking Boots, Hiking Shoes & Mountaineering Footwear
Adventure starts at your feet.
Footwear is arguably the most important piece of kit you own. Grip where it counts, comfort that lasts, and confidence to just keep moving - what’s on your feet shapes the whole day.
We spent years developing this range with specialist bootmakers in north-east Italy, where generations of craftspeople have refined mountain footwear for some of the world’s most demanding terrain. Multiple prototype rounds, real-world testing and long days in the hills helped shape every model in the collection.
The result is a range designed to cut through complexity and help you find the right footwear for your next adventure. From lightweight waterproof walking shoes and classic leather hiking boots to technical scrambling footwear and crampon compatible mountain boots, every style is built with a clear purpose and backed by our 28-day Comfort Guarantee.
Finding your perfect boot fit
Good fit is the biggest factor in walking comfort. Your heel should feel secure without lifting, your toes should have room to move naturally and the boot should feel supportive without pressure points across the top of the foot. A poor fit can quickly lead to rubbing, blisters and fatigue.
Walking boots should always be tried on with hiking socks and ideally fitted later in the day when feet are naturally slightly swollen.

Get a grip
Grip gives you confidence. Simple as. Our footwear is specced to match the challenge with either Vibram® XS Trek or our very own REACT soles: responsive all-terrain technology designed for dependable traction across mixed terrain.
Our dual-density PU sole units have been specially developed to provide cushioning, responsiveness and long-distance comfort. The tread compounds are engineered for grip and durability on both wet and dry surfaces, helping you move confidently from rocky trails to muddy descents.
Made in Italy, worn everywhere
Footwear is arguably the most important piece of gear. From big mountain days and rocky hut-to-hut trips to weekend hikes in our favourite wild places, what’s on your feet matters.
We’ve taken our time to do it properly – working with the best manufacturers in northern Italy and testing in real conditions, refining every detail and focusing on what really matters when you’re moving through wild terrain.
The result is a collection intended to cut through complexity, offering you the right boot for your next adventure.
28-day Comfort Guarantee
All Alpkit footwear is backed by our 28-day Comfort Guarantee. We want you to properly test your boots, wear them on walks and make sure the fit and support work for your feet before fully committing to them.
