Not 1, but 2! Opportunity for two awesome people to join the Alpkit family. We're on the hunt for assistant store managers at Hathersage and Keswick.
We’re on the lookout for 2 assistant store managers to lead and motivate an engaged team of store heroes to deliver our mission and desire to inspire our community to “go nice places, do good things”. Be a brand ambassador for Alpkit and role model our values to exceed the customers expectation. Ensure store profit and sales are in line with or in excess of business requirements and duty manage in the Store Manager’s absence.
Alpkit Hathersage was our first to open, think of it as our Peak District base camp, a really well-equipped base camp with the entire Alpkit product range inside. From the teeniest Kraku stove to our fully featured Definition waterproof and full selection of Sonder bikes.
Alpkit Keswick is our base in the North Lake District, we stock the same entire Alpkit and Sonder product range inside, but you'll get a different vista when you step out the door!
The stores are a real window into the Alpkit world, a representation of our personality and vibe. Customers can try on wetsuits, hire a bouldering mat, fit bike packing luggage to their bike, snuggle up in a expedition sleeping bag (but can't stay over) or get a custom fit for a new bike.
We encourage them to be real hubs of activity, with plenty of events involving our customers and on a more team social level. We have a relaxed retail environment but we work hard. Tea (and coffee for the non-believers) is always to hand, decent music is almost always on and we are driven by our mission to support our customers “go nice places do good things”.
A bit about Alpkit
Customer experience is placed at the heart of Alpkit operations. We strive to be with our customer throughout their journey with us. The product team aim to design quality, long lasting products. Our purchasing team work closely with our supply partners to ensure that we can be fast to react to customer feedback whilst ensuring availability of products when customers want them. The creative and IT teams focus upon making an easy experience for our customers through their purchasing process with us. Should our customers have any issues during at any point during their journey with us, our customer service heroes and store teams are on hand to help.
Our entire operation works to continually improve the Alpkit experience for our customers, from increasing product range and performance, to addressing customer concerns such as minimising plastic use and improving our internal systems to advance our service.
