Stem Cell
£49.99
“Now where did I pack…? Ah, right at the bottom of… just need to undo these 10 straps…” The Stem Cell’s large drop storage keeps the items you use throughout the day in easy grabbing reach.
- One-handed cord lock for on-the-move access
- Highly water-resistant for all-weather riding
With 1L and 1.5L size options, the Stem Cell makes use of one of your last pieces of bike frame real estate on longer bikepacking trips. Attaching with soft-touch Velcro straps, two webbing ladders provide multiple different attachment points for a secure fit. The Regular Stem Cell will fit a MytiMug 650 or a 750ml water bottle with the drawcord extended.
The Stem Cell also gives you somewhere to store items you want to keep handy on the move with a locking cord closure that can be operated one-handed, No more keeping your mates waiting or losing vital time to faffing on endurance races!
The Stem Cell is designed to last, ride after ride, with hardwearing materials and all stress points reinforced using bar tack stitching. We’ve used lightweight and tear-resistant VX21 fabric at the front and abrasion-resistant 500D Cordura® on the back to protect this high wear area.
With fully waterproof outer materials, the Fuel Pod is highly water-resistant, protecting your bits and bobs in bad weather. The stitching isn’t seam-taped though, so we’d always recommend wrapping any electronics in a dry bag.
Handmade and designed in Nottinghamshire by our talented factory team, the Fuel Pod comes with a 25-year Alpine Bond.

How It Is Made
Organic cotton
X-Pac® X11 fabric uses a hard-wearing 100% organic cotton face fabric. Organic cotton farming produces significantly less CO₂, uses less water and eliminates the use of harmful pesticides.
Climate neutral fabric
X-Pac® X11 fabric is certified by cleenTEC® as being 100% climate neutral. X11 is made from a mixture of plant-based and recycled materials and manufactured in factories using only green energy.
Where It Is Made
Our products are made in the best factories in the world. We know the factories personally and they have all signed up to our Code of Ethics in our supply chain. This includes the Ethical Trading Initiative base code, fair pay, safe working environments, no child labour, no modern slavery, no bribery or corruption, no materials from conflict zones and humane farming methods.
All our factories sign up to our Code of Conduct. Find out where we make our product by visiting our Factories of Alpkit factory zone.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
