The Aeronaut’s inflatable pole makes it one of the most packable two skin tents available, stuffing easily into seatpack nooks, bar bag crannies and rucksack crevices for lightweight adventures.
- Packs into small spaces with no long tent poles
- Pitches outer-first, as one, for a fast set-up
- Can be inflated by your bike pump when bikepacking
Using innovative new construction techniques, the Aeronaut provides a robust and lightweight 3-season shelter without the need for long alloy tent poles. The inflatable ‘air pole’ removes one of the biggest obstacles to easy packing: those long, pointy bits of aluminium. This design makes it ideal for adventures by bike, foot, or canoe/kayak where packing space is at a premium.
Easy to set up after a long day, the Aeronaut pitches inner and outer together, inflating in minutes by bike pump (Schrader valve) or foot pump. Once fully inflated, the air pole fills the containing sleeve to form a near perfect circle. This shape provides a stable structure and creates more room inside the tent and porch than an alloy pole would. Lightweight adventures don’t need to be cramped adventures!
Although designed for 3-season use, the Aeronaut’s inflatable pole also removes the risk of tent poles breaking in strong winds (usually in the middle of nowhere). Made from durable TPU, it can easily be repaired by puncture repair kit if necessary. We’ve used the same tried and tested flysheet fabric used in our Ordos tents: a rip-stop nylon that perfectly balances low weight and durability.
It's possible to split the Aeronaut 2's weight almost completely evenly between two people. If one person takes the tent outer (including air pole) and the other person takes the inner and pegs, you end up with roughly similar weights and pack-sizes to share.

Product Care Information
Clean and dry your tent thoroughly after each use. Never use a washing machine, tumble dryer or jet wash to clean your tent. Car washes are also frowned upon. Spot clean with warm water, mild (non-detergent) soap and a soft sponge. Never use bleach, fabric softeners or other household cleaning products and air dry only.
To make your tent last longer, avoid prolonged UV exposure and repair damage immediately. If you are unlucky enough to rip your tent on a trip, use duct tape or StormSure Tough Tape until you have a chance to repair it properly. Find out more in our Tent Care and Repair Spotlight.
If the worst happens and your inflatable pole bursts, you can repair it easily with a standard puncture repair kit.
