It is with sadness that we’re saying goodbye to our customer trustee Lou. She’s been bringing valuable insight and guidance to the Alpkit Foundation for 3 years now and a true asset to the charity. We’d like to offer out our sincere thanks for all her hard work and wish her all the success she deserves.
“I‘ve had an amazing time being part of the Alpkit Foundation as the Customer Trustee. For the last 3 years I’ve been part of a panel that reviews all applications and award money to those that we feel would make a real difference and help breakdown some of the barriers around accessing the outdoors. I’m proud to have been a part of awarding over 1800 projects and was a bonus to have met some really awesome people along the way :)”
So now it's you chance to help us continue making an impact. It's an exciting time to join and the importance of accessing the outdoors has never been stronger. You'll be joining our team of trustees that include four directors of Alpkit and a mix of staff and independent trustees, giving a nice, rounded outlook.
We are open to everyone and actively welcome applications from all backgrounds and diverse experiences, that could give positive insight into helping the Alpkit Foundation make as much impact as possible. The appointment is a voluntary position and would initially be a one year term.

More about the Alpkit Foundation
We want to make it easy for people to get outdoors. We do this by making small grants to people, groups and projects that work to remove the barriers in getting outdoors and experiencing wild places. So Alpkit donates a minimum 1% of sales or 10% of our profit to directly support real people doing real things. Our trustees meet every couple of months to review all the applications.
We feel unique in giving easy to access small cash and equipment awards knowing that lasting change comes from many small steps. The Alpkit Foundation plays its active part in encouraging and promoting the well-known benefits of responsible outdoor activity.
