Tall Stories

Tall Stories collates accounts, photos and tales of the Scottish kayaking legend, Andy Jackson.

The life of an inspirational kayaker, skier, campaigner and paraglider. From his scrapes with the 'Polis' to a worldwide catalogue of first decents. Where possible, Andy's own writing has been used throughout the book: his self-depricating humour and bombastic enthusisam for life and boating makes incredibly entertaining reading. Andy's premature death stunned the kayaking community and robbed the Scottish outdoor scene of an extraordiary personality and many people of a very good friend.

'Why? Because it's steep, if not deep. Becauseyou just laughed yourself silly at your mate getting stuffed and now it's your turn. For the freefall and the freeride...Because you'd be mad to run it and mad not to. But mainly because it's a lot of fun." - Andy Jackson, June 1999
