The Nimbus are waterproof baggies designed to keep your padded undershorts (and nether regions) dry in the muckiest and muddiest trail conditions.
A slightly soggy bum we can cope with. But a whole day of soggy bums… now that’s a different story. The Nimbus uses a 3-layer waterproof fabric treated with an environmentally friendly PFC-free water repellent. Reliably waterproof and highly breathable, they’re designed to keep your bottom half dry when it’s lashing it down and the trails resemble an extended succession of swamps.
As well as the hardwearing 3-layer fabric, we’ve reinforced the seat and inside leg with a double layer of material, providing protection from abrasive grit and another extra layer of waterproofing. If you need to let off some steam mid-ride, the zipped pockets are mesh lined to double up as vents.
The Nimbus sits higher at the rear to keep your back warm and protected from spray, even if your top rides up. And a double press-stud closure and elasticated Velcro adjustors ensure they don’t slip down while you’re riding. We’ve also chosen an over-knee fit so you don’t get any dreaded knee pad gaps!

Caring For Your DWR
To keep your shorts’ durable water repellent (DWR) treatment in tip-top condition, wash them regularly in pure soap or a specialist cleaner. You may also need to refresh the treatment about once or twice a year (depending on usage) using a reproofer. Using a spray-on reproofer maintains your shorts wicking ability.
Washing Instructions
Wash on a delicate cycle at 30˚C or hand wash with lukewarm water. Use a technical wash product (like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash) or pure soap. DO NOT use detergent, fabric conditioners or softeners. Rinse thoroughly in clean water. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat. You can also use a cool iron to reactivate the DWR.
PFC-Free DWR
The Nimbus shorts use a completely PFC-free water repellent treatment (DWR) on their outer fabric. PFCs are potentially harmful and have been found to build up in the environment. We don't like the sound of that so we've been working hard to get rid of them.
