Care & Environmental Advice

Product Care Information

Caring For Your DWR
To maintain the high performance of your bivvy bag, we recommend you wash it regularly and re-proof it once or twice a year (depending on usage). This keeps the DWR working at its best, maintaining breathability. Wash it with pure soap or a specialist cleaner (like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash) and use a wash-in or spray-on reproofer.

Washing Instructions
Wash on a delicate cycle at 30˚C or hand wash with lukewarm water. Use a technical wash product or pure soap. DO NOT use detergent, fabric conditioners or softeners. Rinse thoroughly in clean water. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat with the zips closed. Use a cool iron to reactivate the DWR.

Environmental considerations

PFC-Free DWR
The Kloke uses a completely PFC-free durable water repellent treatment. PFCs are potentially harmful chemicals that have been found to build up in the environment. We don't like the sound of that so we're working hard to get rid of them.

Recycled Materials
The Kloke's fabric is 100% recycled nylon, made from post-industrial recycled content. This uses up leftover matter from nylon production, as well as fabric scraps from the cutting process, to remake it into brand new nylon fabric!

Kudos
Active Traveller review the Kloke

"Overall we loved the Kloke. It has become part of our everyday kit list as a result of being so portable. It does need respect and care, but if you do it should be a terrific addition to your kit at a very reasonable price."
