0Hiro

The 0Hiro provides a robust and resilient shelter from the cold regardless of the forecast.
- PrimaLoft® fill insulates when wet and keeps loft for longer
- Highly abrasion resistant Nylon 6,6 outer fabric
- 5K/5K waterproof membrane for damp weather performance
In your hour of need, shivering your bits off in the deep damp of winter with no layers left, you need a hero... you need... a 0Hiro. The 0Hiro uses PrimaLoft® Silver Hi-Loft Ultra, a synthethic insulation that lofts even when wet, retaining over 85% of its insulating ability. It also survives repeated compressions better than other PrimaLoft® fill, keeping your jacket working for longer.
The 0Hiro uses a combination of extra hardwearing and recycled materials, all treated with a PFC-free water repellent. The outer is made from a bombproof nylon 6,6 fabric, allowing it to withstand a thorough trashing and season after season abuse. It also means you don’t have to worry about leaving a breadcrumb trail of insulation on the mountain behind you.
We’ve added a 5K/5K waterproof membrane to the back of this fabric to give you an extra layer of defence in deep powder, wet sleet and persistent drizzle. The 0Hiro isn’t seam-taped for sustained rainfall, but it’s certainly enough to get you off the hill before the damp seeps in. It’s even been whispered that it'd double up as a mighty fine ski jacket.
For mountaineering use we’ve included a helmet-compatible hood with a wired peak to deflect scattering spindrift and inner cuffs stop snow and draughts from creeping under gloves. The main zip is two-way for belaying ease and the sleeves have slightly less insulation than the body to allow to you swing your axes freely.
The 0Hiro is designed to fit over multiple layers but you may need to size up if you’re planning to use it as an out-and-out belay jacket.
'This jacket is superbly comfortable and just feels like a bit of a fortress on a wild day. For harsh and sometimes downright grim British winter mountain days, the 0Hiro is a reassuring prospect that's going to keep the foul stuff out and the warm in.' - Trek & Mountain (Editor's Choice, Belay Jackets Group Test)
