Simply click the button and submit the online form. Our trustees meet every 2 months to consider applications.

We remain focused on small awards that have a direct impact, with support in the region of £50-£500 to individuals, community groups and organisations to encourage people to get outdoors and have great experiences that otherwise couldn’t happen.

If possible, please apply at least 3 months before the start of a project so that the trustees have time to consider it at their next meeting.

UPDATE: We are experiencing a delay in working through the backlog of applications. We will look to accept applications early April, ready for a May review. Please keep checking back for further updates.

DUE TO AN EXTRA-ORDINARILY LARGE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS WE HAVE TEMPORARILY TURNED OFF THE APPLICATION FORM.

We welcome multiple awards over time and each award is assessed on its own merit. The only criteria we apply in making awards is that the project meets the funding criteria and the Alpkit Foundation has enough money in the pot.

  • - Diversity, Participation and Inclusion Projects that engage individuals and groups from a diverse range of backgrounds with the outdoors.

  • - Environmental Projects that seek to support, rewild, conserve, or generate understanding of our environment and wild places

  • - Health and Wellbeing Projects enabling people to gain physical and mental wellbeing from the Great Outdoors

  • - Education Projects which encourage the develeopment of outdoor skills and activities to be experiences by wider groups. Such as Hill and Moorland / Mountain Leader, First Aid, D of E, Community focused Forest Schools.

Sorry, we do not support

  • - Holidays

  • - Charity challenges

  • - Commercially led travel Expeditions that are not focused the Great Outdoors (e.g. rebuilding schools, overseas medicine)

  • - Scout Jamborees – due to the large number of participants involved in Scout Jamborees, this is not something we are able to support.

  • - Retrospective applications – make sure you get your application in on time!
