    • Sonder Contact

Contact are lightweight clipless pedals compatible with all Shimino SPD-SL cycling shoes. Contact has a large platform for energy-efficient road riding. They're stable and secure particularly your cadence increases or climbing 20% gradients or more.

They have a large, stiff platform, and easy to get on with improving power transfer for sprints and climbs and supporting your feet for all-day spinning in comfort.

To clip into pedals, you step on the pedal’s face and push your foot forwards or downwards to engage the cleat. To release your foot, simply rotate it outwards. They're ideal as a first clipless pedal, or anyone looking for an affordable pedal that has high-end tech.

The bigger contact area of the SPD-SL system means stable and secure pedalling and it is more energy efficient too, preserving your legs for those deceptively savage inclines at the end of your ride.

The thermoplastic body and fibre-glass-reinforced binding is durable but keeps the weight down to 148g per pedal, shaving vital grams from your drive chain.

    • Sonder Torque Black

      +£29.99

    • Sonder Torque

Combining the Comfort of plastic with the grip of metal pedals.

A tough large platform, thin profile thermoplastic body with replaceable steel pins. The Cromoly axle gives durability and strength that you can depend on.

LSL bushing combined with a sealed bearing keeps the pedals turning in all weather conditions.

We have tried and tested these pedals and they have stayed true through winter and summer trails.

    • Sonder Reko

      +£50.99

    • Sonder Reko

The Reko are lightweight SPD pedals designed gravel riding and cross-country mountain biking over longer distances.

The Reko's platform-free design reduces the overall weight of the pedals to 145g per pedal for lighter, faster riding. Double-sided SPD bindings are easy to clip in and out of and their compact design means they're less likely to clog with muck on filthy winter rides.

The clip-in design improves the efficiency of your pedal strokes, saving energy on long rides and improving power transfer on climbs, and gives you more control of the back end of the bike.

    • Sonder Jekyll Black

      +£59.99

    • Sonder Jekyll

Jekyll is two faced; SPD's and flats all in one, multi-purpose mtb touring pedals.

Jekyll gives you the freedom to ride with normal shoes or with cleats. Jekyll combines a single sided SPD mechanism with a flat pedal body with grip pins on the other. They are ideal for riders who switch frequently from the daily commute to nipping down to the local shop for a pint of milk in their loafers.

The flat side has 8 replaceable grip pins, 4 mm long, they provide grip in all conditions. When you are ready to get your power on the cleats are just a half rotation away - no swapping your pedals out.

Jekyll also comes provided with Sonder 'SH-51 style' cleats.

    • Sonder Slingshot Black

      +£59.99

    • Sonder Slingshot

The wide platform Slingshot pedal is designed to provide the support, control and confidence you need for a variety of riding, whether on trail, gravel or road.

      • Wide 87x90 platform made from 6061 aluminium
      • Double-sided adjustable SPD clips
      • Chromoly axle with sealed bearings

The Slingshot's wide foot platform provides plenty of support to the foot for more comfortable pedalling over long distances, reducing hot-spots. This additional foot support also gives you greater control of the rear end of the bike on tight turns or technical trail.

If you're using the Slingshot for mountain biking, the pedal's wide surface gives you a platform to stand on unclipped, ready to bail out if needed, on heart rate-quickening sketchy sections.

With double-sided SPD clips and a large pedal area, the Slingshot is easy to clip in and out of in a hurry. A clipless system provides greater pedalling efficiency when climbing and more control when descending.

Equipped with the SRAM Apex 1 x 11 groupset this build offers great value performance. The 1 x 11 gearing gives a 3.6 - 1 ratio (101.8 - 26.6 gear inches with 44mm tyre). That’s plenty to open up the big alpine passes to mere mortals with enough at the top end to open up on the flat.

Features

Gravel geometry

Tuned for long days with trail capabilty at its heart. The long wheelbase and 69° head angle make for a stable and confident ride, even over rough trails. Every size has been tuned for a 50-70mm stem so every rider gets direct and responsive steering.

Wide open tyre clearance

The Camino swallows huge tyres. Ride 700c x 50mm or 650b x 2.1” - that’s most mountain bike tyres covered.

Carbon monocoque fork

Lightweight, stiff and responsive. The Camino's full carbon fork gives direct steering and smooth braking. It's completely adventure ready with mudguard and rack mounts.

Full rack, guard and expedition mounts

Take anything anywhere. The Camino has mounts for everything you need - panniers, guards and extra mounts for adding cages to the forks. The downtube has triple cage mounts so you can set your bottle to be at a height for easy reach or lower to accommodate larger frame bags.

Internal Cable Routing

Clean lines and tidy cables thanks to fully guided internal routing. The Camino also has routing for a dropper seatpost.

Bottom bracket for the real world

A BSA threaded bottom bracket is super-durable and readily available, wherever you find yourself. So it’s not a pain in the bottom bracket!

Large: Riders between 5ft 9in and 6ft 2in (175-187cm)
X-Large: Riders 6ft 2in and over (187cm +)

Reviews
Kudos
Singletrack review the Sonder Camino Al
With its flexible wheel size options and plenty of tyre clearance, there’s scope for building the Sonder Camino AL however you want it. However, as built, this Rival 1 option seems to me to be a great fit straight out the box. If you can’t fork out for this higher end build kit straight away, the ride quality is such that the frame makes a good candidate for later upgrades, and the handling is simply excellent. Unless your heart is set on steel, titanium, or carbon, I can’t think of a reason why you wouldn’t want this bike. I do want this bike, and I’m genuinely sorry to be sending it back.
