Broken Road St / Medium
£1,299 £1,699
Steel wilderness hardtail for big mountain days and fully loaded adventures off the beaten track. It's the perfect choice to tackle long distance point-to-points like the Tour Divide or the Atlas Mountain Race, eating up off-road miles day after day.
High-quality 4130 chromoly steel tubing gives that coveted steel ride feel; lively and vibration-absorbing with all the capability of modern trail geometry. Optimised strengthening gussets at the headtube and bottom bracket add stiffness where its needed without adding excess weight - this helps maintain handling when carrying heavier frame bags or panniers.
Optimised for use with 29" tyres; soak up uneven ground and enjoy a confidence-inspiring, stable ride at higher speeds. A long wheelbase and relaxed head angle strike the perfect balance between comfortable uphill grinding and hair-raising downhill whooping and make for efficient all-day riding over rough terrain.
Build your dream rig with a full set of expedition rack mounts, we've designed the Broken Road to be loaded up with kit and pointed towards remote places. Highly durable and ultimately repairable; steel frames can take heaps of abuse even when you're carrying everything but the kitchen sink - offering peace of mind on multi-day trips and more technical trails.

Why Sram SX Eagle?
SRAM Eagle drivetrains are designed, engineered and manufactured to work as complete drivetrain systems. Its 1x drivetrain is built to be lightweight, strong and intuitive, with the gear range to ride on any terrain.
SX Eagle provides the same Eagle performance benefits as NX Eagle, but at a lower price point. The main differences stem from the choice of materials and finish options, but functionally SX is fully compatible with SRAM's Eagle groupset.
Features
Trail bike geometry
The long wheelbase combines precision and control, giving you the flexibility to adjust riding position easily. A relaxed head angle lets you cover rough ground efficiently, and strikes the perfect balance between comfortable uphill grinding and hair-raising downhill whooping.
Traditional material. Modern Design
High-quality 4130 chromoly steel gives you that coveted steel ride feel with all the benefits of modern trail geometry. Balance strength and stiffness with the lively, vibration absorbing nature of steel for comfortable all-day riding over rough terrain. Highly durable and ultimately repairable; steel frames can take heaps of abuse even when fully loaded with bags and kit, ideal for off-the-beaten-track adventures.
Huge tyres. Endless grip
Designed for optimum use with 29" wheels with clearance for 2.6" tyres. Soak up uneven ground and enjoy a confidence-inspiring, stable ride at higher speeds. Ideal for longer mile-munching day rides and multi-day off-road adventures. Broken Road can also take 27.5+ wheels with clearance for up to 3" inch tyres.
Build your dream rig
Triple mounts on the top and bottom of your downtube let you position your bottles high for easy reach, low to fit larger half-frame bags, or under the down tube to accommodate a custom Stingray full-frame bag. There's also a bottle mount on the seat tube and two sets of accessory mounts on the top tube, plus rear pannier mounts for those longer expeditions.
Adjustable sliding dropouts
Adjustable sliding dropouts give you the freedom to choose between single speed or derailleur setups. They'll also help you fine tune your setup to match your chosen wheel size and ride style.
Internally routed cables
Hidden cables keep the lines clean, and maintenance easy thanks to fully guided routing. Broken Road also has routing for a dropper seatpost.
Geometry and Sizing
Sizing
It is important to get the right size bike, if the bike fits it will be faster, more comfortable, and easier to handle. You can also take into consideration the standover height to ensure you pick a bike that will be a good fit. If you measure your inside leg and ensure there is a minimum of an inch from the toptube to your crotch this will give you enough seatpost adjustment to find your optimum saddle height.
