The Signal is for flat out speed.

It pedals like an XC bike, descends like an enduro bike, and captures the rawness of riding a hardtail on fast, flowy singletrack. Stand up, sprint, and ride it hard on the groomed trails at Llandegla and Glentress or take it to big mountains and let loose.

    At a glance

    • Shimano XT M8100 12-speed groupset
    • Rockshox Pike Ultimate fork
    • Sonder Alpha 29" UK made wheelset
    • X-Fusion Manic dropper seatpost

That low BB and long wheelbase gives a planted and stable feel through the corners and when tackling high speed descents. The low stack height leaves you with less of that ‘tall’ 29er feeling – you’ll feel like you’re 'in' the bike, not on the bike.

Big wheels roll faster. The 29" wheels can be paired with 2.2 to 2.6in tyres with clearance for winter conditions.

The Signal Steel rides beautifully – it’s got that distinctive steel feel to take the edge off the biggest hits while keeping stiffness where it counts so you can accelerate out of corners and track accurately through rocks and roots.

    Why XT?

Shimano drivetrains are designed, engineered and manufactured to work as complete drivetrain systems. Shimano's new microspline hub means that you can run a 10 tooth cassette for a huge gear range. The new EV shifters and brakes provide loads of adjustment to get the perfect position as well as a rock-solid feel on the bars. And the 4-pot brakes provide consistent and reliable stopping power.

    Features

    Aggressive trail geometry

Neil has designed the Signal St to suit his aggressive riding style. A low bottom bracket makes it corner like its on rails, a spacious reach gives you room to move around on the bike, and the 66/74 head and seat angles give you the confidence to bomb the descents and while still being able to climb like a mountain goat.

    Steel Frame

Nothing feels quite so good as the famously springy and durable Steel. Signal St’s 4130 Chromoly, Hand Welded Steel tubing absorbs shock to soften the ride without any loss to feel or speed.

    2.6” tyre clearance

Bucketloads of clearance for 2.6” tyres gives you the benefits of higher volume tyres without getting clogged up in UK conditions.

    Geometry and Sizing

    Sizing

It is important to get the right size bike, if the bike fits it will be faster, more comfortable, and easier to handle. You can also take into consideration the standover height to ensure you pick a bike that will be a good fit. If you measure your inside leg and ensure there is a minimum of an inch from the toptube to your crotch this will give you enough seatpost adjustment to find your optimum saddle height.

    Generally we recommend:
    Small: Riders between 5ft 2in and 5ft 7in
    Medium: Riders between 5ft 6in and 5ft 10in
    Large: Riders between 5ft 9in and 6ft 2in
    X-Large: Riders of 6ft 2in +
