This is a demo bike with some battle marks and signs of wear and tear from being ridden and enjoyed at our Ilkley store. For more details about the condition of this bike, please discuss it with our Alpkit Ilkley Store Heroes on 01943 597577.
The Signal is for flat out speed.
It pedals like an XC bike, descends like an enduro bike, and captures the rawness of riding a hardtail on fast, flowy singletrack. Stand up, sprint, and ride it hard on the groomed trails at Llandegla and Glentress or take it to big mountains and let loose.
The Signal Steel rides beautifully – it’s got that distinctive steel feel to take the edge off the biggest hits while keeping stiffness where it counts so you can accelerate out of corners and track accurately through rocks and roots.
Neil has designed the Signal St to suit his aggressive riding style. A low bottom bracket makes it corner like its on rails, a spacious reach gives you room to move around on the bike, and the 66/74 head and seat angles give you the confidence to bomb the descents and while still being able to climb like a mountain goat.
Nothing feels quite so good as the famously springy and durable Steel. Signal St’s 4130 Chromoly, Hand Welded Steel tubing absorbs shock to soften the ride without any loss to feel or speed.
Bucketloads of clearance for 2.6” tyres gives you the benefits of higher volume tyres without getting clogged up in UK conditions.
It is important to get the right size bike, if the bike fits it will be faster, more comfortable, and easier to handle. You can also take into consideration the standover height to ensure you pick a bike that will be a good fit. If you measure your inside leg and ensure there is a minimum of an inch from the toptube to your crotch this will give you enough seatpost adjustment to find your optimum saddle height.
Generally we recommend: Small: Riders between 5ft 2in and 5ft 7in Medium: Riders between 5ft 6in and 5ft 10in Large: Riders between 5ft 9in and 6ft 2in X-Large: Riders of 6ft 2in +
