Watch 'The Rescue' and 'Fire of Love' at Alhambra cinema
Join us on August 20th at the Alhambra cinema in Keswick for two adventure film screenings as part of our Keswick School of Adventure weekend.
The Keswick Alhambra Cinema is the sixth oldest continuously running cinema in the UK, opened in 1914 and now with two screens, Digital And Dolby technology. It's an iconic building in Keswick and a gorgeous place to see great films in high quality.
Independent, family owned and run and with a warm welcome from knowledgeable staff, there are drinks and snacks available, hot and cold drinks and a licenced bar where you can take drinks into the film.
THE RESCUE (107mins) - 20th August 6:00pm
The story of the dramatic 2018 rescue of 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach, trapped deep inside a flooded cave. Revealing the perilous world of cave diving, the bravery of the rescuers, and the dedication of an entire community that made great sacrifices to save these young boys, the film tells the story of the imagination, determination and unprecedented teamwork displayed during this heroic edge-of-your-seat mission with life-or-death stakes.
FIRE OF LOVE (93mins) - 20th August 8:30pm
Katia and Maurice Krafft loved two things — each other and volcanoes. For two decades, the daring French volcanologist couple roamed the planet, chasing eruptions and documenting their discoveries. FIRE OF LOVE tells a story of primordial creation and destruction, following two bold explorers as they venture into the unknown, all for the sake of love.
The film 'Fire of Love' will also be shown on Friday 19th alongside another film: 'The Alpinist'. Please see the Friday screening event for more details.
Standard tickets are £9 or £6 for under 24s and Alhambra cinema members.
