Where will you end up?

By Col

It's that time of year when over indulging at the Christmas feast or the New Year celebrations may leave you feeling like you've never done anything active in your life. Of course there's no pressure to do anything, it's that kind of season. But we are sure that many of you will be planning little adventures and ways of topping up the excercise, or avoiding the over indulgence completely!

Well we'd love to hear what adventures you're getting up to over the festive season. If there is snow on the ground - get out and follow those animal tracks, you'll also be able to see animals that are normally camouflaged, much easier. Get down to a local woodland and build a shelter, test out the new headtorch on a night time wander or just visit your local park to enjoy a peaceful day without a care in the world. It's not always what you do, or how you do it, this time of year is about meeting up with friends for a coffee (Maybe make that outside with the new BruKit?) or just spending time out with the family.

So whether it's multi day, multi hour or even mutli minute, on Christmas Day, New Years day or in between... if it's interesting, quirky even, has some good pics and inspires others then get in touch. It's your chance to get featured in our Daring Deedsand win one of our shiny new Swig water bottles and a Mountain Beanie! Once you've done your Daring Deed, you have until Wednesday 7th of January to write up and get the stories to us. Send us an email titled 'Christmas Daring Deeds' to support@alpkit.com with your text and any pictures. The top 5 will get picked out and featured through the first couple of weeks of January to help inspire others to kick off their year in style!

Pictures should idealy be at least 1200px wide. If you want to include low res pics to start with we can always contact you for larger files if that's easier. Of course if you want to share what you're getting up to through the holiday season then join us over on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too!

Check out Alastair Humphrey's MicroAdventure site for even more ideas and while your there have a look at his 'Year of Adventure' Calendar!

Have a great time what ever it is you get up to.
