Wanted: Warehouse and Despatch Hero

Alpkit needs some extra help in its warehousing and packing room to fulfil an increasing number of daily orders. The warehouse team play a critical role at Alpkit and are responsible for making sure customers get the right products on time.

When a customer buys something we do all we can to send it out the same day. Our reputation for great customer service is huge and you will help us maintain that. You will be joining a small team who like to keep their shelves tidy and who are never happy until the last order has been sealed and is on posties van.

It is a physical job, you will be on your feet all day so you need to be reasonably fit and healthy. Knowledge of our products will give you a head start. You will be working with our warehouse and despatch supervisors to carry out daily warehouse and packing tasks.

Key Accountabilities:
Pack orders to strict courier deadlines
Understanding, the daily picking/packing procedures
Answering all emails and telephone calls promptly
Managing print runs of orders to meet dispatch deadlines
Shifting boxes and restocking duties
Book in deliveries
Administrating returns
Understanding basic warehouse layout, functions and processes

Fastidiously organised
Attention to detail
Computer literate with ability to use Word, Excel, & Mac based apps
Fluent in written and spoken English
Good arithmetic
User / consumer level awareness of outdoor products
