Kangri gets 5 stars in Trail first look
Trail magazine’s chief gear tester Graham Thompson takes a first look at our geodesic Kangri mountain tent and asks “Is this geodesic tent the most cost-effective 2-3 person mountain shelter on the market?” the answer… the highest possible rating in the January edition of TRAIL magazine.
It is always nice when you get a little recognition for all of your hard work, so you can imagine how pleased we were when we thumbed the pages of our copy of Trail to see our Kangri tent hitting 5 stars for: Features, Design, Comfort, Performance and Value.
Graham sums up the Kangri by saying “The Kangri has all the bells and whistles of a quality tent, and the spec is impressive too. At just £300 it’s going to be hard to justify paying more, unless you happen to want to buy your 4-pole geodesic just at the time Alpkit sells out of stock, which judging by the quality of this tent, may be sooner rather than later!”
Kangri is the most conventional of our range of 3 geodesic mountain tents which also includes the 3/4 person Zhota and the spacious 5/6 person Heksa. We intentionally set the bar high with our first foray into tents, and we hope to continue this through 2012 by developing the range with some lightweight backpacking tents.
